    I have a question on mini spray rose, it looks like they dry out very fast, even when sitting in a bucket of water with ice, no cooler. Do they require special treatment?

    • @FlowerMoxie
      @FlowerMoxie 6 дней назад

      Spray roses are actually very hardy! They need the same care as other roses - give them a fresh cut, place them in clean water, remove any guard petals, and remove all leaves below the waterline to keep bacteria at bay. If you need to encourage them to open, you can place them in a sunny spot. Otherwise, keep them in a cool room away from direct sunlight. Never put ice in the water as this would likely damage them. Spray roses are one of our favorite flowers to work with!

    What is the best way to dry anemones?

    • @FlowerMoxie
      @FlowerMoxie 13 дней назад

      Anemones are delicate and the typical at-home method of drying them upside down doesn't work well. They tend to brown and shatter, and generally don't hold up well.

      You probably just need to make a few tweaks. Why don't you try building in a small chicken wire egg? This will hold space between the stems and allow more control. It might just be the method I'm teaching here isn't a good fit for you RIGHT NOW, but try using a chicken wire or bouquet egg, or try building in the spiral method! XOXOX, Ames

    When I get Euc in, I will make a fresh cut, and place in HOT water. The Hot water allows the sap in the woody stem to get soft and drink up the water reaching to those ends. Keeps the stems fresher longer. Allow the stems to sit out of cooler for several hours to hydrate well.

    Why does she fill the tall vase with water, when the flower arrangement is designed in a dish with foam, it will not bring up front the vase. So it serves no purpose! I'm a professional florist, so I know! Unless she wants the water in the vase for the look of a vase full of water!

    • @FlowerMoxie
      @FlowerMoxie Месяц назад

      Correct, the foam and lomey bowl are serving as the water source. The water in the vase is meant to be decorative as it wasn't preferred to have the vase be empty. We hope you found the basic construction of this stemless centerpiece vase helpful and informative!

    Taste is personal , as a Dutch florist we dont sell this stuff anymore ,plus you need to clean it very very good otherwise you get very much bacteria what will shorten your design and cleaning this kind of stuff is very hard.. cleaning every time with chloor is the only solution

      You definitely have to keep it clean! Ours come with the frog detached so it's super easy to clean - it's one of our favorites!
